My Books

I’ve never been especially interested in writing the same book twice. My work moves between fiction, poetry, nonfiction, drama, Southern Gothic, speculative fiction, the supernatural, memory, nature, and whatever strange place exists between those categories. Some books begin with a character. Others begin with a place, a plant, a sentence, or an image I can’t quite shake. What matters to me is that the story has something underneath it—something human, something unsettling, something worth staying with.

Below you’ll find my published work, along with new and forthcoming projects as they become available.

Earthbound Stars

Silt Beneath My Tongue

Coming November 2026!

Earthbound Stars is a collection of photographs, poems, and field notes gathered from a life spent paying close attention to the natural world. It celebrates heirloom seeds, flowers, fruits, insects, and the quiet wonders that reveal themselves when we slow down enough to notice.

Jasper Price had built a life around certainty. Science gave him answers. Flowers gave him purpose. Distance gave him peace. When Jasper returns home to care for his mother, he is met with an impossible inheritance: the Trimardeau Estate, left to him by a mysterious cousin spoken of like a myth, a man rumored to trade in wishes and burdens. The house is pristine. The orchard is dead.

All the Water I Haven't Spoken

The Meadow Across From Time Part 1

Haunting of Memphis Pearle Part 2

When a thunderstorm delivers a broken, wordless Dawson Grant to the porch of three strange Sisters at the edge of Reckless Abandon Swamp, he wants only to disappear from a world that has quietly betrayed him. The past he buried will not remain silent. Memories surface in fragments. And the Sisters, who seem to know far more about him than they should, insist that the real story has yet to be told.

As the season turns and a burial in the gardens awakens something restless, Carter is pulled toward a meadow that refuses the rules of time. It is a dream, yet reality, and makes Carter question everything he believes in, even his sanity. To survive Loosestrife, he must decipher the inn's folklore, untangle Walker's riddles, and face what the land wants from him-before its hunger makes a home of his heart.

Some reckonings grow slowly. Some are planted in youth and harvested in heartbreak. No one leaves for good. Memphis Pearle thought she could. She told herself the past was over. That closure was something you could earn and leave behind. Until the roads bent strangely and flowers began to whisper her back. What started as a letter and a fracture became a return to something far older than home: a myth blooming in her absence. To go forward, she must pass through the places she tried to outrun.

Haunting of Memphis Pearle Part 1

Cutting the Cord

The Unraveling of Us

Years after her voice echoed across Broadway and her name was splashed across the press, Memphis Pearle returns to the Southern town where her heart was first broken, and her story was first told. She comes not for applause, but to disappear into solitude and anonymity. Looming above it all are the eyes of a towering billboard-immortalizing the face of legendary designer Vaughn West-that seem to follow her every move.

Poetry. We danced on long nights. Shooting stars, ungranted wishes. These memories, these precious moments, still linger. They become haunted dreams. All I’ve done is dance with your ghost. It hurts to move on, but it is an ocean of potential. Tides of relief. Relief from You. From Us. That was a different life. Because the old stars have burnt out. I unraveled, I cut and shredded their nuclear threads to be born anew.

Poetry.

It’s been years since your expulsion from what was once Us. I still feel the spin. You never left my mind, body, and heart. It hurts to remember, and I feel those things I never wanted to feel again. There’s not much I can do anymore but hold my breath and try to push you out of my chest. You were love. You were home. Now I am once again alone.
